The 4th of July

Well, my 4th was a little, what's the word I want to use? Sad and Ok at the same time. My Grandpa's birthday was yesterday. He would have been 75. That made it hard to be happy. I miss him so much!
But, I was ok because I was with family. Except I had to take my anxiety meds because of the fire works. My parent's neighbors go crazy every year and the buy everything under the sun to set off. Usually the really loud, earth shaking ones and it freaks me out. But, oh well. Such is life. The fam and I had a great dinner that my Dad cooked. My little sister, Sarah couldn't come because she doesn't like all the noise and because she lives 2 hours away from my parents' house. So, that bummed me out. But, I talked to her on the phone for 45 minutes or so. Which was nice, she is going to Europe next week for a month abroad. I am so happy for her and yet so jealous at the same time. She is going to Ireland and Paris. Since our family is Irish, English, French and Mexican. It is kind of fun that she gets to go there and see the culture. That makes me happy. She is going to take a lot of pictures and when she gets back home to Seattle she is going to blow them up and frame them as presents. I told her, get me a nice one of the green scenery or of the Aifle Tower(sp).

Anyways, things are ok. I had yesterday off, worked today and now have my two days off. YES!
That makes me happy.

Hope everyone had an awesome holiday. Oh, and Cherish, I didn't blow off any parts I shouldn't have.

Sorry Sarah couldn't come - gas prices are insane! That's cool that she's going to Europe.

We didn't blow up anything we shouldn't either. We mainly watched neighbors setting off illegal fireworks.
